The Rockgate accounting office provides timely and accurate financial statements and implements internal controls at all Rockgate hotels. A centralized Accounts Payable service ensures the efficient flow of payables for our hotels. The centralized procedure also creates a check and balance system.
Centralized and uniform accounting procedures enable the Company to improve cash flow and ensure hotels are operating in an efficient fashion. The accounting office also focuses on savings by competitively shopping property and liability insurance policies and associate benefit packages, including health insurance and retirement plans.A complete wage and benefit survey is conducted on an annual basis. The practice ensures hotels will continue to attract outstanding associates by offering competitive compensation packages. The bottom line is to ensure hotels are running efficiently and profitably without sacrificing guest satisfaction.
Each Rockgate hotel transmits a daily revenue report to the accounting office. These reports assist management, as well as owners, to monitor not only daily revenues and results, but also project future revenues. Weekly informational packets are sent to the accounting office that include hard copies of the daily reports with verified daily deposit slips as well as invoices to be paid for the hotel.
Rockgate also utilizes a centralized payroll service to automatically track associate benefits, accrued vacation time, annual increases, etc. Removing this function from the property allows managers to focus on operations and hospitality instead of paperwork.
